HID ballast uninstall

Ok I did search a number of threads regarding this topic and about 99% complete in taking out the ballast and igniter part of the HID system. My question is that I disconnected the igniter and have unsecured the ballast out of the head light housing but there is a rubber piece in the base of the hole where the ballast wires go to connect to the igniter. My question is how does it come off? I dont want to pull it the wrong way. I have tried pushing and pulling it through. Does the rubber part come off?

Also is there any tips on securely uncliping the headlight cover piece off the headlight housing?

thanks in advance...

umm.. all you have to do it unclip the ignitor from the bulb, and unscrew the ballast and pull it off..just push the clip down and out to the side and it will unhook.

I will try but just to confirm, here is a pics. I am trying to pull the ballast wire through the headlight housing. There is a rubber piece on the wire preventing it to go through the hole. I am trying to be delicate but wire will not budge. where is the clip you are talking about?

I tried that but one end of the rubber sell is larger preventing it to go through the hole and the other is secured tightly around the hole. How does the rubber piece come off. I can pull harder but dont want to wreck the seal.

you could use a flat head screwdriver to pop it out.
