HELP!!! Struts seem ok, but car bouncy an unstable

Hey guys. I have a 99TL-P with 115k km and i really don't like the bouncyness of the car. Most uneven surfaces I go over the car bounces alot and any ridge or bump on the road seems to transfer throughtout the car.

I did the 4 corner test on all 4 struts and there's absolutely no recoil when I push down on all 4 corners. There are no leaks in the structs and ear.ier this yr I was noticing some squeaks com'n from the front over speed bumps but for some reason I can't hear it anymore

When I first got the car I changed the bushing, stablizer links, ball joints and passenger upper control arm. At that time I had some knocking over bumps that sounded annoying so I finally sovled the problem

For all those who've had this issue how did you solve it? If the road id pefectly smooth and even, the TL drive fantastic but the moment I hit a odd ripple or bump in the road its as if the car feels heavy, bouncy, and unstable. I find it hard to believe that a car of this caliber is suppose to drive like that according to the dealer.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, I don't want to replace the shocks and that doesn't solve the problem. I'm think that there must be another suspension component that causing all this trouble

My 01 has 77k miles and the bouncy feel. Since I put the Cusco frame cross bars on it, much of the flex is removed and the car feels more solid in all situations, and darn near precise in others

bouncy and unstable is the problem with the shocks, period. shocks may not leak, but they could be sticky, so pushing and bouncing test cannot tell.

Also every time I touch the brake at low speed on highway speeds (just light tap on brake) the front end seems to dive, as if their extra weight at the front of the car. I know for sure the shocks are gone but if I buy shocks and it doesn't solve the problem, its not like other product I can try and then return if I don't like.

They are gone for sure- the ol nose dive- I know it well
There should be a bounce and a half when you do the corner push and multi push test

Sounds like the Struts are bad. They dont' have to leak to be bad.

What you can do is to buy the new shocks, then remove the old ones and test them. if the old ones are not bad, then put them back, and return the unused shocks. if the old shocks are bad, use the new ones.

With the age of the car and the mileage id say the shocks are shot.

Because most of the suspension ware is done up front, should I only replace the fronts for now or just replace all 4 struts? Now, if I do replace on the front struts and keep the old reats, how much can this impact the smooth of the TL?

Any thoughts
