Help with Replacing High Pressure PS Hose

HI Guys,

I wonder if anyone has any info on replacing the high pressure PS hose on the 2nd gen TL. I have removed the hose connection from the pump and the steering rack and cut the ss tubing to remove the old hose. I need some info on how does one get the new hose to the steering rack since the hose comes preformed and I cannot get this part(preformed with fitting) to go between the space and the steering rack. Do I have to drop the sub frame to replace the hose?

Any help from anyone who have replaced the PS hose would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

David

You're talking about the hard lines correct? Then yes you need to remove part of the subframe.

Hi NSXNEXT,

Thank you for the insite.. Yes I am talking about the hard line that thread into the rack. I have previously replaced the rear subframe due to corrosion and that was quite a lot of work. I was hoping that someone had a easy way of doing this. I read somewhere that the dealer charged 2 hrs labor to change, so I was figuring that they must use another way , rather than dropping the sub frame....???
Thanks Again
