Help: OBD II port Location in a 2000tlp
Here i go up to autozone as suggested to get the code for a cel that keeps coming back. So get up there & i thought i knew where the port was, as i knew where it was on my 2003tls, but low & behold its in a different spot in my wifes car. Theres a sticker stating it is in the center consel behind a removable door. I'll be damned if i can find it. Wifes pissed cause i ended up marring up the plastic where i thought the port might be hidden. Can anyone tell me specificly where it is. Thanks in advance!

I would think they would be identical since they're both the same generation TL.

ok went to autozone. came up with code: p1456. which means evaperator emission control system leak detected. (gross leak/no flow). The wifes car has 67k on it. Is this something the dealer must cover per the EPA guidelines? It is emission related afterall?

Update: Took the car to the stealer. Hated to do it but i was worried about the returning CEL. Come to find out a hose did come loose to the crv valve i believe they said. No warranty as no parts where bad. Stealership charges:.....$205 bucks.....oooooouuuucccchhh!...they told me they had to take some panels off to get to the damn thing. Morel to this story a "(p1456)" code can be a very broad statement. Can be pretty hard to troubleshoot.

Thanks for the update. The dealer was expensive but at least they did find and fix the problem.
