make sure all bolts are tight on IM and recheck hoses again to make sure you didn't criss-cross any going into IM. did you take TB off when you removed IM? It sounds like a vacuum line problem.

You have a vacum leak. double check that all the gaskets are ok and make sure all the bolts are tight.

i checked everything.
i drove for a little bit.
the TCS light came on.
it started to bog down a little.

i f'ed something up.
but it's not something obvious.

oh snap..i may have to take it the dealer.
but what do i say?.
that it just started running like crap?.

do i tell them i took off the manifold?.

i wonder if i screwed up one the plastic sensors on the throttle body.

very bummed.

over and out.

Sounds like the Idle Air Control valve is f'ed up.

IAC is part #2 in the picture. Might wanna remove and try to clean it out.

oh man.. thx NSXNEXT.
it seems like "idle air control" would be the problem.
the way it's running.
first thing in the morning.
me take apart....again.

do you think that i need to replace the IAC valve?.

i mean..what could of have happened here?.

don't mean to be a n00b..
you think that IAC thing is clogged..broken...
i'll clean it...see what happens..

thx.

Definitely not a noob, I've just experienced the same symptoms.

It probably just needs to be cleaned. Pull it off (two bolts) and spray the ports with TB cleaner. Use a toothbrush to get it clean. Reinstall and it should be fine.

that was it.
123.00 for a new IAC valve.
it's actually a little motor.
the parts guy said that they sell alot
of them to service shops.

much thanks NSXNEXT....

i woulda have never have figured this out.
i didn't try to clean out the old valve.
i think thats where the trouble started.
spraying the inside of the throttle body.
stuff getting into the port on the inside of throttle body wall.

the car is running great.

i love this forum...

Shouldnt spray into the TB with alot of fluid. It never gets that dirty. If you had to do it again id lightly spray the TB away from the sensor and us a old tooth brush to scrub then spray a little more and wipe out bad stuff
