Help finding 4 transmission parts

Hello everyone,
I bought a rebuilt transmission for my 2003 Acura TL 3.2 after putting the tranny in the car ran fine. It had broke down in Germany before separating from the military, now I am in Cali and it started leaking. I took the transmission to a auto shop to have pictures taken and emailed to the people i purchased the transmission from. The mechanic thought it was the transmission cover after emailing the photos to the company said the leak doesn't look like it is coming from the tanny cover. to look for these four things which are the pressure switch, pressure port, speed sensor o-Ring and solenoid. From some research I have done there are more then one pressure switch and I have not be able to find information on the pressure port. the speed sensor o-ring has been a little hard as well, and the solenoid from what I understand can been seen from the top left side of the engine. If any one might have some photos or a diagram or some information i would really appreciate it. The parts again are the pressure switch, pressure port, speed sensor o-Ring and solenoid.

The easiest and quickest way to get detailed diagrams of the tranny parts would be to check some of the online "OEM" Acura parts sources.

Maybe some good samaritan will download tranny diagrams from the Factory Service Manual. Your local Acura dealership's parts department could possibly copy some pics of the tranny's various switches and solenoids.

Have you personally attempted looking around the tranny for any apparent leaks. Should be obvious.

ck our DIY list, and the CL sections DIY list -its the same car and some diy's didn't make both list

the pressure/shift selenoids are external screw in pieces - and sit next to each other with a large number above each like 3 4 = easy fix
Have you tried our search?

contact the OP of other thread in main section on trans overhaul- outlawspeeder is OP name iirc- he just rebuilt a TL trans and is knowledgeable mechanic

Yes I have I even took it to a shop. Its a really slow leak they cleaned the bottom and put it up on a lift and left it on and nothing happened. So they assumed that it had to be the tranny casing. When I sent the pictures they took to the manufacture I got the tranny from they said it might be something else something small.

How much ATF fluid is being lost ? Does the fluid drip to the ground if left sitting after being run ? Lay a piece of cardboard under the tranny to help check for this. Try to isolate the specific area of the tranny where the "leak" appears to be coming from.

There should be some sort of trailing evidence, which may lead to top....rear or front of tranny....which all will eventually find it's way to a lower area. Could be a dry o-ring seal originating from a solenoid or pressure switch. How's the axle seals ?

I agree- that's your most likely- start with the axle seals, the shift/pressure solenoids on side of trans and speedo oring

Is the atf level correct- between the 2 dots at whatever temp your book says,,
cold or warm with specific drive before cking
NOT AT the upper or lower dots- between is the right level

too much will vent overboard and be lost

are you using Honda dw1 fluid?
