i went home from work and the car drove fine until i went to my friends house and i stop by to pee, lol then i try turning on the car and it wont start!!!!! it clicks all the lights work windows, etc but the car just wont start!!! help please i left my car at my friends house i dont know what it could be it is a 99 acura TL....

take out the battery and bring it to a local auto parts store and have them check it, this should be a first level check before changing out the starter or alternator.
It might still have enough juice but not enough cranking amps.

 

the battery is good i had it check twice.........

 

the first post says all lights and ect. work and juice and cranking amps are the same thing no such thing as having juice but no amps. Amps is just rated at how much pwer can be drawn from the battery without it dieing on you if you car needs 800 and you put in a 400amp battery if you started the car like 3times with no alternator that battery would not start that car again if it did it would have a hard time. BUT YUH RUSTEE CHECK THE STARTER!!!

 

I was gonna check the starter first, but then my neighbor convince me to take out the alternator and have it check, big mistake!! i wen to kragen, autozone, pepboys and no one could test it!! i was like WTF?!?! so i called the dealer and they said they dont check alternators!!?? so i put it back and im gonna take out the starter tomorrow morning!! i hope thats it!

problem fixed!!!! it was the starter when kragen checked it it was completly dead! so i got an ew one and now it works great !! yey my car lives again!! thanks illjuan3!!!
