My heater is blowing cold air even with the Climate Control set at 78; even when it is turned up to 90 it does the same thing. I even let the car run for about 20 minutes to see if it'll warm up and start heating up the air but nothing cold cold air

I've searched the site but could'nt really find a clear answer. Any useful links would be appreciated as I am sure people have run into this problem before

Error Code: I could'nt find the list of error codes on this site but the code that shows up b/w 88 when pressing ON/OFF simultaneously is half a one (like 1 but a mini one in place of the first 8)


Any help is appreciated.........don't wanna go to the dealer and get ripped off and it is freezzzzing cold here!!

 

Your air/heat blend motor is broke. I would look under the passenger dash and in the upper left corner you will see a white arm and a silver hook that basically moves when you move the temperature dial on the dash. I would mess with that because I was in the same position like you this year in March where my heater was blowing cold air.

Most of the time that blend motor switch is either old and will not operate. Just check it out and come back with your results.

 

the heater valve is outside the car under the hood close to the firewall. easiest way to see if thats your problem is put it on hot and then look under the hood at its position then go back in the car and put it on cold and look at its position again. if it doest change then the motor that moves that cable for the valve is broken.
