Heated seat. HOT
They work great but theres something bugging me.
when i have it on the LOW setting for a while it feels like there is one spot that gets really hot, like to the point where i turn it off. I touched the area with my hand but it seems normal (not hot, not cold)
While I appreciate the fact you can't tell me if it's my buttocks that is the problem, I'm worried that this may be a sign that the heating "coil or wtv" is about to fail.
Has anyone experienced similar problems?

The book way to use the seat heaters
not their exact words)
High for a few minutes until nice and toasty
then LOW
Hi has a full ON setting and runs until it hits a temp overload breaker and shuts off
when cool- it comes on again
On LOW it cycles on and off to keep the seat warm
The driver side has butt and back heat
The passenger has butt heat only- side airbag issue for them
When a you have the dreaded broken wire, that section, seat bottem or seat back heat, will not work. It looks like a bed electric blanket with wires run in fabric.
Sit on your wallet, break a wire!!
Easy fix- just takes time

I'm aware of all you wrote. I read the manual and it is exactly as you pointed out.
My real question is after i've followed the manual procedure and the seat has been on LOW for about 10 mins. there seems to be one spot ( on the buttocks part) that heats up more than the rest.

Punctuation Nazi
I test drove an Audi once that had heated seats. While driving it, I turned them on to test them out. I kept feeling like something was poking me with a hot needle or something, so finally I got out of the car and looked at the seat, the sales guy was telling me how good the heated seats were, that is, until I found that the element had burned through the insulation and the leather and were a good way through my pants.
Needless to say I didnt buy the car.
Next time you are in the car and it feels like it is burning you, stick your hand there to feel it immediately and then if it feels really hot, get out and check it visually. That was the only way I initially found the burning element in the A4.
