Headlights weird and wirorow sound

02 TL-S . Both of my headlights refuse to light up at the same time unless i flip the switch off and on several times and then they will both light up. The second problem I am having is a tremendous amount of road noise when I am driving down the road. It sounds like and say it with me "wirowirow" . A shade tree mechanic told me it might be wheel bearings . Then the Acura dealership listened to it and said its not the wheel bearings but we don't know what it is . The mechanic is a good guy but he has made some mistakes on my wifes car and now we don't have any confidence in his skills. I hear it at low speeds and almost sounds like a grind as i slow down. I love my car and refuse to trade it in after Carmax offered me 2500.00. Meanwile on their website they have my exact car and miles for 10,599.00. Not kidding. Just go to carmax.com 02 tl black. Anyways any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a new battery? If your charging system / battery are working correctly then we need to look at the the headlamps themselves. Could be any of the three (bulbs, ballasts or ignitors).

Your other problem, when you drive down the road and you turn the wheel slightly to the left or right, does it make a grinding noise? If it does, this sounds like the front wheel bearings.

The battery is about 12 months old. To me it sounds like the noise is coming from the rear passenger side wheel but i am not sure . I have had one mechanic tell me its just the directional all weather tires and anothe rmechanic say its the rear wheel bearings. However the acura dealer told me trhat it is very rare for the wheel bearings to go out in the rear. The weird thing about the headlights is if the car is cold they both light up the first time everytime but if i have been driving around they start the one on one off bit. Thank you so much for your response . i am poor and trying to save as many pennies as i can to keep my car running.

Could be a tire belt separating. Inspect it closely- if you don't see anything, swap the rear pass. tire to another position & see if the noise follows.
