Headlights

I have a 2000 tl. recently I noticed my drivers side headlight turned a different color (slightly more blue). then my passenger side low beam went out. I turned the lights off then back on and the low beam came back on.
I was thinking of getting one of the conversion kits from HIDextra. Has anyone had experience with them?

I would personally get a Morimoto kit from TRS (The Retrofitsource.) It's more expensive than the kit from HIDextra, but the quality is better, and the customer service even better.

I have a quad set-up for my 03 headlights and run 4 of their ThreeFive DSP ballasts with their XB35 5000K bulbs, and have had no issues whatsoever!

If your ballasts arent out i see no reason to get a conversion kit. Id just get new bulbs. But if you were to i would do like above and get a TRS kit.

OP, my mistake, I misread your post as the ballasts went bad! If the ballasts are still good, just buy replacement bulbs!

Welcome Eflby1 !!!
Yeah, if your headlamps and connections are not showing signs of moisture or corrosion....just simply replace the present HID low beam bulbs with new ones as previously mentioned.

However, if in any doubt.....now's the time to consider upgrading to the newer aftermarket kits for about the same money as a pair of OEM bulbs. Check the 2nd Gen's "DIY" sticky and other past threads on HID's for more info.
