Question Headlights

Hi. I bought a TL 2003 last year and it has Xenon headlights. Is this standard with this model or was this a modification?

Also, one of the headlights does not work even after replacing buld. Think it is the inverter. Where can I get one cheap? Thanks.

It probably is the inverter. If you go OEM, even on e-bay, it will cost you $300+. There are a ton of threads on here about installing an aftermarket kit which should run you about $100. Or, you can get lucky scrounging through a salvage yard.

HIDs are standard on the 3.2tl.

Curious man, how did you go about getting the headlight out to replace it? I need to replace mine but it looks like a major pain in the ass. Some thing on there is saying not to remove the cover because of high voltage. I've never had a vehicle with a bulb that seems so difficult to replace.

Then you never had HID bulbs. Required to be hard to access due to the high voltage they need to operate. I torx screw and turn the cap ccwise and the cover comes off. Push and twist the ignitor connector (GENTLY) ccw. Remove the spring clip and the bulb will be able to removed.
