Headlight Clearing

Clear somthing up for me. I've read many posts and DIY's on Clearing Headlights and I can't figure out if this is a repair or a mod. I understand that moisture inside the lights causes the lense to fog thus the need to clear them but is there another reason to do this? I've seen some pics of painted lenses...is that just an after thought since you've gone through the trouble of baking your lights in the oven and all the other steps so you should get more return on your time investment? And finally, I was sure I didn't have that fogging problem but after returning from washing my car yesterday I noticed the driver side light beginning to fog up in the corner. My car is under warranty till October and I only have 26k miles, many people commented that Acura should cover the lights, has anyone found that to be true.

Thanks in advance.

Look at the link provided above by georgy_d28. That has the whole process laid out. It's looks fairly time consuming and you need to be carful so you don't mess things up.
