Headlight adjustment up and down?

Hi, I'm new here, I just bought a 1999 3.2 TL and the headlights are a bit low. How do I adjust the the headlights?

Oh and by the way, I just found out about the tranny issue on these cars and the previous owner never had the oil jet taken care of!

call acura 1-800-382-2238 x5 and see if you are part of the oil jet install recall and if it was ever done- also ask about ignition switch recall
If not- get to the dealer for that right away

To adjust headlights, look on top of the lens with hood open- see the tiny +- marks? they tell you what way to turn the tool
now look on back of housing and see a V shaped raised in the plastic- follow that down a few inches to a gear assembly
Take a + screwdriver and slide down the V channel- you may have to tilt tool or move something for access...use the tip of screwdriver as a cam gear and rotate it to turn the adjuster gear!
Simple

mon thru fri- off all major holidays
Dont expect to be talking to the 1 retired acura tech there. Most of the rest of the 20 or so operators just answer the phone and can look things up in a book of pre-programmed questions and answers
All of which start with- take it to the dealer for diagnosis
If you ask about goodwill over miles---they say NO
but they are not the acura regional warranty manager who makes the actual decision

you can register online- and call- they have more info on phone, different systems

Oh, and welcome to acurazine!

between the members we can figure out most probs- and the DIY section is loaded with free to expensive mods that make the car more fun to drive

The Acura dealer called me this morning and told me that my car was not part of the recall. I thought that all 1999 TL's were part of the recall?

That really sucks!
