Have to Floor to Change Gear

Hi... OK this is the problem i am having... Most of the time, it take me to floor the accelerater, meaning Push it to the floor to make the car change gear to less when its going on 4th or 5th gear when im doing 60. Now another problem ... it started like 3 weeks before, when ever my car is idling and den i put it on D5 to drive, the engine makes a little sound like a muscle car and den it settles down as i speed up... Please give me some advise

sounds like you need to clean your EGR valve.

EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. basically at cruising speeds the valve opens up and lets some exhaust gas back into your intake manifold. it serves to improve emissions really, but also cools down the inside of your combustion chambers and improve efficiency at the same time.

if you're interested in the chemistry aspect there is a good explanation here .

your problem is definitely the EGR, let us know how it turns out. i'm sure if you do a search some photos of it in the engine bay will turn up if you plan to do this yourself.
