my car seems to shift good in all gear except when it shifts into 4th it pulls really hard and rpm bounces but keeps goin and shifts good into 5th when it's in D5. But when it's in sport shift it kicks harder into 4th and shift good into 5th.. Is that a sign of tranny goin bad?

 

perform shift selenoid cleaning
and do gravity drain and refill with the new honda dw1 fluid 3.5 qts

Just picked up an 02' TLs and seems to have the same issue with the 2-3 upshift. RPM's are good but shifts hard like my Camaro used to with a shift kit. Feels cool but I think the tranny is in need of service?

 

at the very least clean the selenoids- change half the fluid. replace the fliter (external)
Smooth is how it should shift

 

Have it scan for codes, could have bad pressure switch, and they usually won't set check engine light. 5sp auto have issues with 3rd clutches and 3rd/4th switches
