hi, my 2001 tl has been making grinding noise while cruising at low speeds, and when I use the brakes its occasionally been making loud noises. (not squeeing, but more like rough grinding type noises)

any ideas?

also, im new to chicago, can anyone recommend a good honest mechanic, who won't charge an arm and a leg just for diagnoising.
