Hi people, I got a 2002 Tl p with 70k miles on it. I have a problem with my gear box. Sometimes when I start my car I can't shift it into gear, "the stick wont move pass P and I can't pull it down." Now after I turn off the car and start it back up it works alright. This problem started about a week ago. Anyone know what is wrong with my car or had something similar happen? Thanks for the help...

I would have to say you have a bad brake switch. Its the littel switch that the brake pedal touches to know that the brake has been applied to shift it. (A few members have had this issue)

 

Thank was worry it was a major problem... , how much am I looking at for repair...
