There are 2 different ways of doing it. Have you tried the 2 ways in the owners manual? If so contact homelink. they will walk you thru it on the phone

I couldn't get mine to program for nothing and finally called Homelink. Even though my original remote was working fine at a distance, the lady @ Homelink suggested I put a new battery in the original remote because the signal probably wasn't strong enough. I didn't believe her but gave it a shot and it worked the first time I tried it.

Just a headsup here, its most likely not your Homelink thats the problem.

Most newer garage openers (by that I mean starting around 7 years ago) have the the option to use a standard old-style code, or generate a new code each time the door is opened. Its suppose to help keep people from being able to figure out the pins for your door. Anyhow, our homelink isnt designed to understand the randomized codes, so you cant use it.

But, like I said most of the newers ones that have the randomization feature also have the ability to turn that off, and use the old single-code method. Read your garage door manual and see if you can change it. If so, you should be able to use homelink
