Front motor mount replacement??

I'm trying to replace my front motor mount on my 2kTLP. I removed the top mount 17mm bolt and the 4 bottom mount bolts. I placed a floor jack under the tranny and when I raise the engine the whole front end rises, the engine bracket doesn't lift off the motor mount at all. As I'm removing the 3 bolts from the engine bracket I can still feel that there is still alot of weight on the motor mount so thats where I stopped. Do I have to remove the side motor mount to raise the engine? Why can't I raise the engine to clear the motor mount?

The motor should raise some with the jack under the motor. If its not your not lifting close enough to the mount. If you remove the 3 bolts that hold the bracket to the motor the mount should slip right out.

You could have left the bottom 4 bolts be loosen last that way when the engine is raised, the mount does not raise along with the engine.
