I have a '03 TL and everytime I hit a bump it felt as though something was loose behind the dash. I took it to the dealer and 2 of the service guys took it for a ride and, after an hour, determined the hood was vibrating. They adjusted the 2 hood bumpers and the problem was solved. However, it started again this past month. The problem is I can't adjust the bumpers high or low enough to stop the hood from vibrating. The two bumpers don't adjust low enough so that the hood is tight against the frame.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, do you have a solution on how to secure the hood better? Thanks for any help.

 

Do you maybe have a bad latch mechanism? This sounds a bit irregular. How does the hood align when compared to the fenders?
