Front End Vibration
Front End Vibration
I have a 2001 that has 95K miles. I replaced the stock Michelins with Goodyears about 30K miles ago. Just recently I have been having a front end vibration felt through the steering wheel at different speeds. Typically 55-60, and 75-80.
I ran the Michelins for 60K miles with no problems at all. This is my first time with Goodyear comfortread.
I had the tires balanced and rotated twice. No change in the vibration.
Has anyone had front end mechanical (tie rods, axles, etc.) that have caused this type of vibration? The tire wear is normal, and everthing under the front end seems to be tight, with no cracked boots or rubber grease seals missing on tie rod ends.
Also, has anyone had issues with these tires going bad? I have had a couple of cars that were very tire sensitive and exhibited the same type of vibration.

its possible there is a broken belt in the tire. But if you have rotated and rebalanced the tires and it still happens, i would say its probably something else. You may want to bring it in to a shop and let them inspect teh suspension compononts and halfshafts.
just ask ur mechanic he SHOULD know if not he aint a mechanic they use drums to simulate ur car ride on a special hoist.. any dealership has it
it diagnoses from bad treads , belt displacements ,alignment , rim bends or problems etc. real effective..
