Foglight Reflector Repair

I busted both foglight lenses on my '03 TL and I am looking to replace the lenses with the lexan lenses. I ordered the lenses on ebay (from someone here - have yet to get them, another story) - so this question is not about where to get the lenses.

I removed both lenses from the actual foglight assembly and noticed the reflectors are scratched and marked up pretty bad. Is there a way to repair this? I was thinking of using chrome spray paint. Would this work?

Don't tell me to paint it black or silver, etc. I want utility from my foglights. Let me know if you have an answer... thanks....

Haha...I am in a similar boat. one of my fogs just died and so I am looking to replace both with some fogs that somewhat match the HIDs but while I am down there replace with lenses with the Lexan's I bought THREE to FOUR years ago and never installed.

Quick question, I am assuming you removed the entire bumper, is that right?

No need to remove the entire bumber... there are 10mm bolt in a space right underneath the fogs.... might need to get the car up on ramps to access, but no need to remove the bumper...

no need to get the car on the ramp, I replaced my bulbs in the garrage, just look under the fog light and there is a square hole, thats where the screw driver will go in....besides the square hole, there is openining in the plastic from where you can look and see if you screw driver goes straight to the bolt, once you unscrew then pull the light out from the thicker side using a screw driver from the front (from the frtont center of the car)

I have replaced the lens and used lesan lenses made by GE, very good quality...better than OEM...won't break.

You'll definitely need a socket extension in order to access that bolt deep inside the bottom plastic cover.
