Foglight Question

Do the foglights have a fuse anywhere? I ordered a set of HID foglights and one side works and the other doesn not. I thought it was a faulty ballast i sent it back and they are saying that the ballast shows not defect. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help.

And yea i checked the bulbs the bulbs work when i swithced out the ballast to the other side.

Is it the driver side?

If so, all you need to do is swap the + and - wires and it will work,

OR

File down the plastic nipple on the plug so you can flip it and plug it in.

ANC297 so do i just have to flip the + and - and it should work? I dont understand why the driver side has no issues and the passenger one does. Is this common with aftermarket HID kits that the connection has to be switched? Thanks guys for all the help and the quick replys.

Im not sure about all the positive and negative, but when I installed my kit it is easy to have the connector bringing power to the ballast backwards...I had mine on the wrong way on one side, and it didn't work, so I flipped it and sure enough it worked...

I have the DDM tuning kit and the connector fits both ways, so just flip it and see if it works. If not, check all your wires and make sure they are correct and they all have a snug fit with the connectors.

+1 on snug fit with the connectors and flipping it. flipping it might turn it on, it the connectors are plugged in together tightly, then the current wont be able to pass through.

Yea i have a DDM tuning HID kit as well and i got the driver side to work with no problem and the passenger side upon installing (the same way as the other side) didnt come on i did not try to flip the connection maybe thats the problem well first i will have to call DDM to tell them to ship it back to me today i returned the ballst due to thinking it was bad. They sent me an email saying it works correctly...!

Well F*** Me LOL i just talked to them and i have to pay them extra now for shipping cost. LOL WTF! The only thing that bothers me about the whole thing is when i talked to them on the phone and told them what was going on they are like "well it sounds like a faulty ballast" so i shipped it back. Today when i talked to them they were like..." ohh reverse polarity happens to a lot of hondas and acuras" WTF why didnt they tell me to do that troubleshooting in the first place i guess they suckered me out of some cash.

NOOOOOO!!!! ALL YOU HAVE to do is swap the passenger ballast connector!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, dont return it!!!
This happens like once a month!

on the passanger the polarity is reversed, so you ether have to gut a notch in the connector or cut the black and yellow wires and attach black to yellow...
