I installed HID fogs and was wondering if it was normal for the switch for turning the fogs on do not work due to this mod?

mine fog light indicator does that too sometimes but it doesnt affect the fog lights in any way

 

Yeah the frogs work fine just the indicator it is on is not working for me.

the little led bulb is out..i got mine from the dealer for a couple bucks. They didn't have green so they gave me an amber one instead but i like it since it stands out from the other switches when my fogs are on..and I have yellow HID fogs

Mine doe this too. It turns on every now and then. Could it be the foglight mod that's doing this?

I used amber as well, its easy to repalce......I think yellow stands out as well for fog lights so I went with that..going on and off is just loose bulb....they need to be screwed in with a flat head screw driver, it's an easy fix.

I want to get the yellow Fog Lights as well (not HIDs though) (like the old Lexus) would you recommend a brand? I want something that will last a long time...just like my OEM sylvania now....they keep on going.

 

ever since i did the fog light mod my light hasnt worked... maybe later this week i'll go get a replacement bulb and see if that changes anything...

 

Change the bulb. Sometimes when it's about to die, it'll flicker on and off at random.

I do not have the fog light mod done - and my light doesn't work. I attempted to change BOTH bulbs (clear and green) I got from the dealer and it still didn't work. I wonder if it's the switch?

 

Just to clarify..we're talkin bout the lil green light on the switch thats supposed to come on when ur fogs are on..right?

Cuz mine used to turn on, then it would turn in intermittently n now it doesnt at all. I took the switch out once but didnt wanna completely take it apart. I hate switches like this..Im always scared ill lose somethin ridiculously tiny. I'd rather take apart the whole console..LOL

Do u have to take it apart completely to get to the bulb? Cuz I wanna fix this!!

 

No, the switch just gets pushed out of the dash bezel and comes out as one unit. There are two bulbs on the side that you just give a half screw to, and they come out. You don't have to take anything apart to change the bulbs.

I just replaced my fog light, and got everything working. My old switch would work properly, but no matter what bulbs I put in, it just wouldn't light up (the backlighting, or the green "on" light).
