Flaking on Door Pillar

Hello Folks,

I have been reading the forum and it looks like the flaking/shearing on the Pillars of the TL are a problem. My TL has the same problem. Does it make more sense to replace the Pillars or just get them re-painted? I am taking the car in for bodywork anyway so if I think that getting the Pillars repainted is the way to go.

Thanks, Bill

The pillars are apparently very costly to replace. Someone on here had theirs painted and it was a flatter black as opposed to a glossy one, but it looked very good and cost next to nothing. I'm having this problem and need my pillars and trim replaced, but it is just too expensive to justify at this time.

I think new ones go for about $80/piece or so.
