Way too many oil threads that just leads into disagreements over oil change interval.

I use Acura recommended 5W-20

This is your first oil change in 90,000 miles! How is your car still running!

Mobil1 I think is it 5w20. It says for Hondas right on it.

Wally world will have the cheapest price on oil. I personally use Valvoline Synpower 5W30. My 2000 TL's factory fill is 5W30. Your 03 takes 5W20.

Either 5w20 or 5w30 synthetic oil. I use mobile 1's oil and filter.

One more thing, please don't change the oil every 3,000 miles. This is a waste of natural resources, money, and is completely unnecessary. The quick lube places still push that outdated change interval so they can make twice as much money off of you.

The manual states every 7500 miles on regular oil so if you use synthetic you can even go a little longer if you want. I go 7500 miles between oil changes on my car using Valvoline Synpower and have no issues. I use a Bosch oil filter, not too cheap but not too expensive either.

Engines have come a long way and so has motor oil. It's not the same stuff it was 20 years ago.

i saw the 0w-20 "fuel efficiency" stuff at walmart and almost went for it, but was worried about how it'd hold up in our 100 deg. summer temps.

anyone notice an actual improvement in efficiency with this stuff?

5w30 mobil 1 extended performance w filter in my 99 for now

I think 5-30 is good. I am sure you meant first 'diy' oil change. IMO, fuel saving and a little better startup protection will not overweight the all-day engine running protection between 5-20 and 5-30. Not to mention about engine over 100k.
