Failed inspection today

I failed my inspection due to my engine light sensor not working and my parking brake wont hold the car. I bought the car not to long ago from some guy, so maybe he tampered with the sensor?
Any tips on any of those problems?
Thanks!

do you mean they couldn't get ck for any codes because of not enough info in ECU?
like someone reset the system right before test?

Or the physical yellow light on dash for CEL wont operate?

park brakes are mini drum brakes inside the rear disc brake itself!
easy to diy adjust same as any drum brake- hole in rotor hub allows access to `STAR` type splined adjuster wheel, or some members adjust at the foot pedal

make sure to read down the comments on that diy - need brake caliper grease on parts that contact and require movement, don't forget the `self adjuster`- clean and grease

the 10 dollar tool for removing and installing springs and clips on drum brakes = totally worth it!
