All I can say is that I'm glad I have mine!! I got the 100K Acura Care warranty and used it recently to get new wheel bearings in both back wheels!!

You may have already have a 109,000 mile, 7 year 9 month warranty on your transmission.

All non-salvage title 1999-2002 TLs have that coverage along with some 2003 TLs.

For the most part, purchasing an extended warranty is a bad deal for the buyer. I wouldn't get one for a TL if the transmission was still covered by a factory warranty. But that's a call everyone has to make on their own.

Statistically, the TL's transmission is the one big ticket item to be concerned about.

The price and coverage of an extended warranty will vary from dealer to dealer. Be sure to read the details of the coverage before buying one.

I just used it today, dealer is fixing both the back and bottom of my drivers heated seat all covered under the extended acura care warrenty i have and since its covered id on't pay for the diagnosis fee either. So i'd have to say its worth it since it would cost about 650 if i didn't. Plus i've used the acuracare service before and it saves on not carrying AAA for roadside assistance. Not to mention the nice brand new 2007 MDX with navi i have as a loaner

Can anyone buy the warranty on a TL or do you need to be an original owner?
