Mine is still original at 175k, its pretty easy to replace. You'll need to go to autozone/pepboys and borrow their serpentine belt remover tool to loosen the tension on the alternator belt. Also when removing, remember to disconnect the power steering hose on the top to give enough room to take out the alternator. I just both the alternator and starter out this weekend to have them checked at Pep Boys to see which one was defective part. Turns out it was the starter which is cheaper to replace than the alternator. If your car is not starting, first have the battery checked, then the starter, than the alternator. Good luck.
