Spark plugs, coil packs, vacuum leaks, egr valve...

Is the check engine light on?

I had some coil packs go bad and the car would shake under throttle. Replaced the all because I had 120k miles and didnt want to be replacing them one-by-one. Also done the spark plugs while I was in there. Very easy to diy

Dash is lit up like a Christmas tree but that didn't stop it from running great and with the code reader making it thru inspection. Where is the iacv can I just buy that at AutoZone?

IACV likes to clog up and needs a good cleaning with TB Cleaner (EASY DIY), No need to buy a new one unless you burn cash...

Throttle Body Cleaner? = comes as a Spraying Can in Autozone..
Seems to me your not very used to moving stuff in the engine, should leave it to a mechanic unless you wanna start your DIY career..

Then cleaning the IACV should be a walk in the park.. Dunno if you have seen the DIYs but its pretty straight forward; Remove intake tubes > Remove Throttle Body > Remove IACV just by the 2 Philips screws > Clean it and Vualá!! You got your RPMs in check again.

Post the code numbers. That could take out the guess work.

The gasket generally doesn`t need to get replaced. Just make sure you put it back the right way.

The top cover of the engine if it is caked with carbon deposits you can bet the EGR valve, IACV valve and the throttle body is the same way.

If so brake cleaner for the EGR valve and ports. TB cleaner for the TB and IACV valve.

Also 1 can of seafoam in the gas tank when it is almost empty.

First, have the CEL codes read. Then, clean things like the EGR passageways, TB intake, and IAC valve. Check out the 2nd Gen's "DIY" sticky for tips and details on procedures. Clear codes and see if they come back.

Post the codes and we can better help ya.
