Exclamation Engine random reving

Today I was driving at around 35mph doing nothing out of the ordinary. However, when I came to a stop my rpms started to rev from 1000 to 2000 rpm. I was in drive and the brakes could barely stop the car. i had to turn off the car are restart it. What could have caused this?????

got new IACV in jan. of 09. Is the o2 cheap and easy to install if that's the problem. Would a code reader pick that up?

I am sure the O2 can be picked by the code. Not sure what exactly the code is.

The O2 wont cause random RPM. You either have a issue with the IACV, a small vacuum leak or you have a issue with the TPS sensor.

I think it's going to be TPS. Possibly just a one time thing.
