I have a 99 TL, with 89,000 miles on it, I've read a lot of EGR topics here and I am having that problem, I've had the car for about 3 months now and from day one I've had the EGR problem, now I know Acura is covering the replacement for 8 years or 80,000 miles whichever comes first, now obviously I'm over that amount miles wise, but if the previous owner never took care of the problem or didn't get a letter from Acura explaining that will will fix it, do you guys think I'm entitled to get this fixed by Acura???

 

Only way to find out is to call or bring it in. You may have a nice dealer

 

OK, cool, that's what I figured, also what does the EGR really do? And is it affecting my car? In what way?
