EBC parts don't fit

Just a heads up -

I bought a complete EBC brake set for my 2002 Acura TL. The specific parts are USR7087 Ultimax rotors and DP21610 Green Stuff pads.

When these parts were assembled - the total stacked dimension is too large for the caliper to fit. They do not work - it is impossible to get the caliper on. The rotor is 1.122" and each pad is 0.720" = 2.565" and my total caliper opening is 2.560". This is the caliper opening - not the piston; which was retracted past the cast iron relief.

I believe either the pad or red bedding material is too thick or the rotor is too thick.

This all happened late on a Saturday afternoon and all stores are closed. I had to machine the pad on a milling machine removing 0.060" to complete the brake job installation as the car was needed.

I am completely disgusted. How can a reputable manufacturer sell parts that simply do not fit. I wrote the company and will post any respnse I get.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Anyone know what the rotor thickness spec is? Anyone have a new set of pads they measure the thickness from?

Thanks....Patrick

Anyone have a new rotor?

Does anyone have a new rotor they can measure for me? EBC has been unresponsive and I'd really like to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks...Pat

The DP21610 Green Stuff pads are the correct ones for the '02 TL. I'm already on my 2nd set. But very few people use EBC rotors, most use Rotora's. Maybe EBC sent you the wrong rotors ?!

I believe the rotors are 1.10-1.11 inches when new.
