door opener

my key fob door opener doens't work. i replaced the battery, but didn't help. anyone have a solution?

You might need to get it re-programmed at the dealer.

door opener

thanks for the responses. i live in San Diego. this weekend there was an article in the paper about gargage door and car door openers not working all over town. due to radio frequencies from the navy conflicting with the same frequency as the openers. today my clicker works!

first they drive the whales away with underwater acoustic testing..
Now they find a way to disrupt life on shore too!

I'd rather let the Navy do what they need to do if the "inconvenience" is that I have to actually put my key in the door & turn it to unlock the door.

Also, remote key fobs & their corresponding RF receivers are considered unlicensed devices operating under Part 15...you've all read the back of electronic devices: they must not cause interference & must accept interference from other sources. I think the fobs are considered secondary sources and most operate in the 200MHz-400MHz range where the military primarily operates (with the military of course being the primary source).
