The dome light in my 2002 TL won't come on when I open the door. Yes, the switch is in the center postion and the light will go on manually if I move it to the left. Read somewhere about a multiplexer relay. Went to the dealer and they said it was a door switch. At $5.00 a pop I replaced them all. No luck! Called Acura Corporate and they said that there was no relay and probably a door switch. I'm stumped. Anyone run into the same problem?

 

Im wondering if the switch itself is bad?

 

I just had the same problem on my TL..

Try taking off the dome light, by taking off the 2 nuts and unclip the wiring harness..

Then carefully pop off the switch and then the copper pieces.. I just got some steel wool and cleaned off some green corrosion that was there.. fixed the problem, works perfectly

I have the same problem, i just tried what hawn said but no luck.

 

I replaced the dome light and still the same problem. I'm thinking there is a mux or relay that controls the light and dimmer on the interior dome light, even though Acura Corporate says differently. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of these components?

 

I would talk to the dealer/service department. Its probably controlled by one of the multiplexes then
