Exclamation Did I flood it?

Well my check engine light, vsa light, vsa symbol came on today. First the VSA light and symbol came on as I smashed the gas, so I let off. Then the VSA went back to normal and I was able to drive as normal. Mind you it's raining today, and came off exit and accelerated and my check engine , VSA, VSA symbol all came on again. I pulled into my parking spot at work and turned the car off and now only the check engine light remains on. Did you think water got in through my intake eventhough I didnt go through any big puddles? I'm gonna go try my gas cap and see if that makes a difference but I got gas 2 days ago so I don't know why it would light up today.

Well, you def. didn't flood it because to do that, you would have to drive through a 1-2 foot deep puddle and have the intake literally suck in only water. A few splashes here and there won't flood it.

It could be the gas cap, I know I had that happen to me a few days after getting gas. Isn't VSA + Check Engine light something to do with the tranny? Hows it shifting? That or maybe the rain is just messin with your sensors. Get the code read at autozone and then you will def. know whats up

Well I checked the gas cap and nothing. I'm hoping when it dries out today it will go away. I'm going to put my stock intake on for now just in case.

putting your stock intake on wont change any thing. If you sucked in enough water to do any damage your motor wouldnt be running. Go get the code red somewhere and tell us what it is.

Check the plug condition. More likely it is the coilpack.

Talked to mechanic last night and he said it could be the fuel, so I drove around till I was practically on E , filled it up with 93 and added octane booster and the light is now off.
