anyone know why my dash lights dont light up when i have it on the first click?..only when i turn the head lights on does it come on..

is there a way to check if a relay is bad?

also doesn anyone have a wire diagram of the head lights?

 

i blew out a fuse doing the fog lamp mod where they come on in the first click. check the fuse in the engine bay, its a 15amp fuse, right side of the box, next to a 30 amp. there are spare fuses in that fuse box if you did blow it out. If not, check other fuses.

 

Thanks..I missed that one fuse, and yup it was blown. Now the right HID doesnt work, but its not the bulb because i tested it on the left headlight and it works fine, So im thinking its a bad balast? how can i check if its bad?? or a bad ignitor?

 

i'd say they are both together, ballast and ignitor, at least the ki for my HID's on the bike are setup like that. only way to know is swap ballast's like you did lights, and double check the fuse.

 

Is there a fuse specifically for the Balast? I did not see it when i looked in the fuse box.

 

If you were having fuse issues and then the right HID stopped working, it's probably not a bad ballast or bulb - it's probably something else, a relay or fuse.

 

Is it possible to connect the left balast to the right wire harness? or will that short the fuses out?

nvm i tested it and im sure its the ballast. is a "Control Unit Assembly" conisdered a Ballast?
