Dash going crazy and d4 light blinking

So I have a 99 tl 180k, been working great mechanically but I've got an issue with the dash going crazy for example you will be driving The speedometer, rpm guage, fuel guage, even the stereo will blank out meaning loose power. So the speedometer, tach, gas guage all drop to zero. You would not even notice this if you were not looking at the guages, the car doesn't even miss a beat. But it seems to do it more if you have the car drawing alot of power say the stereo cranked, and when you pump the break or accelerate, also if I hit a hard bump the cars check engine light will come on and the car will black out meaning the stereo will go out the guages will drop for a second then go back to normal. The d4 light also started blinking 2 times when I hit bump then no power slipping. Shut car down restarted light goes off. But check engine stays on put on diagnostics coming back with error for transmision. I've searched high and low on the net heard a ton of different fixes from vss sensor to cluster, low bat, altenator, fuse, o2 sensor, trany. Any help would be appreciated.

We just made a similar post at same time.
My tachometer/TCS light goes on/off seemingly when i hit bumps. Otherwise the car runs fine. Also the Side Airbag light does something similar. Also my ATF temp sensor messed so D5 blinking after +/- 20min into trip.
2000 TL 201K here.

Ok yow.
Dude (01tl4tl) just posted this on my thread.

"99s had a recall for the ignition switch back, with similar symptoms- engine will shut off and back on while driving, dash lights come on etc
bumps and turns may increase the effect

2000s and later years ~appear~ to use the same part--so its also subject to failure

thats where I would start--under 50 bucks at parts store, see diy section for more

before you buy any parts have the parts store run a free electrical system test-
it cks the wires, alt, batt, starter draw.
Old cables or loose connection can be at fault, car needs steady power"

roads symptoms are really on target for the ignition switch back

for trans issues, first we have to eliminate the ignition switch- power surges can cause false codes
what was the code it gave? whats your trans history?

So I did a electrical test on bat, alt, starter cables all good good connections. Called acura about recall they say there is no outstanding recalls on VIN. Calling looking for ignition switch back??? Ppl seem to think it is just the igntion switch??? Is there a difference?

aspec -are you having problems?
it can be both the back part and the front part where key goes in --if extremely worn.
wiring thats been tapped into improperly or had damage somehow will do strange things

road: the differance is buying an extra part thats seperate--the front

if your keys fit loose in the ignition,,you can remove key with car running,,maybe its had a lot of keys on the ring in its history? - guess what has failed!!
the whole thing

the recall having been completed ups the odds its a failed part again
they appear to have used the same garbage for at least a while,,dont hear about newer years failing as much

when I see any new thread title that says- my dash lights crazy-car shuts off,,
my first thought is: Bet its a 99 with ign switch failure!!!!

So just to clear this up the car does not shut off like it doesnt quit it stays running when all this happens. Basically what happens is the seat belt light is constantly flickering like its not getting steady power, then after a bit the tach, speedometer, and radio will reset. It doesnt do it all the time its speradic, but you can almost tell when its going to go crazy when you watch the seat belt light which seems to go nuts when you hit bumps almost like a loose wire, or if you hit the brake sometimes it will cause the electrical to reset meaning the tach, speedometer and radio. The car does not shut down.

And by the way you can remove the key when the car is shut off in drive. And the key will not come out of the ignition while running.

So another update I got the code for the transmision or d4 light blinking and check engine P0753 shift solenoid A Electrical. It is weird cause ive been driving the car the last few days and couldnt get the car check engine light to come on never noticed anything unusual about the transmision. Today I'm messing with the the car in the driveway in park playing with grounds checking to make sure everything is grounded good and the check engine comes on. Do diagnostics and get this code. Gonna reset and see if I can get it on again.

Fixed

So car is working great fixed everything dash is good stereo isnt cutting out, even the temp guage was going bananas I really thought the car was crapping out on me. All I did was cleaned up one ground the one off the tran it looked a little bad and found that wire spliced it and now everything is good. Even the seat belt indication light is brighter and holding a constant glow, that tells me the problem is gone.
I found the info about the shift solenoid A here https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-problems-fixes-117/cleaned-shift-solenoid-filter-screen-fixed-problem-644943/
if anyone else has same sort of problems.
Thanks for the info guys.
