I'm at 98500 miles and my d4 light dims when accelerating then brightens when I let off the gas. Tranny feels fine but I'm getting nervous.

 

Yea I have the same problem. Its not the tranny for sure. It either the battery or the alternator. I'm not sure. But for sure its not the tranny.

 

id say its alternator, i got a deep cycle battery, and it does that only wit power windows n shit, while car is running, not off. new ground wires, cap for my system, and a whole bunch of shit, but yea maybe it could be battery again, but for u guys, im guessin alt.

 

many 00+ owners have seen the D5 light brighten and dim b4 tranny failure.

I just notice my 99 tl does then same thing. It dims when i'm off the gas and brightens when I press the gas. Weird.

 

For the 99tls..... Do it post to keep blinking on d4 if there was a real tranny problem? Anyone know?

 

u guys r on crack, my 99, does the same, i sit at idle at a light, dark outside, and i can see the dim, then when drivin, its fine, barely does it, no exterior lights or anythin else, just dash d3/d4 lights, i drive wit d3 sometimes, same shit, so i doubt its the trans.
