my 03 TL has a creaking/moaning noise when I steer to the left or right, about 3 inches either way. Went under and lubricated, and the noise is still there.... finally touched every joint to feel the viberation with a friend swung the steering either way. It is the Sway Bar Links !! has anyone ever replaced these. Do we need to replace both sides at the same time. Do we have a DIY for changing the Sway bar Links.... anyone ?

 

This is easy and has been talked about a million times. Go to advance auto parts or NAPA and get the MOOG end links, they are beefier than the stock ones and not bad on price, I think i paid like 20 a piece. DO BOTH SIDES TOGETHER. this is a pretty self explanatory job if you have any experience. Jack up the car and take the wheel off. take a look at the end links - there are two bolts holding it on, upper and lower, thats really it. you will need an alignment after most likely as well. it is also a good time to maybo do the sway bar bushings , like 4 piece at the dealership and they just bolt right on.
