Cranking noise while turning steering wheel

I have been having this cranking/grinding noise while turning steering wheel while stepping on the gas.

It does not make any cranking/grinding noise if I dont' step on gas, and it only makes the cranking/grinding noise while I turn the steering wheel left or right and step on the gas. The noise is very obvious when I accelerate the car harder.

I tried changing the steering wheel fluid but it doens't help.

Anyone have similar experience and know what to do?? thanks.

If it is related to vehicle speed and clicks faster the faster you go, it sounds to be cv axles. where does the sound come from?

It seems to come from the steering wheel or front suspension

When you replaced the ps fluid, did you make sure to keep turning the wheels back and forth to get the air out and add more fluid as needed?
Did you get ALL the old fluid out or just emptied the resivour and refill it- thats not enough~
The stuff down in the rack can be removed by turning the wheels with the engine running and the hose disconnected- its the Acura shop manual method
The steering rack sometimes leak- was the fluid full and how was it- any burned smell?

If you have the car in park and hood open- friend turns wheel, can you hear it then, or only moving? Put cardboard under the wheels when testing or working on system- it reduces friction and tension- plus wear on the tires

What year is your car and the current miles
There are tensioner pullies that wear out too.
