Cracked Engine Gaskets

I am told by a trustworthy mechanic that cracked engine gaskets are common on my 2003 tl. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Not common at all... and he means the head gasket. Haven't heard of a single member on here with a 2G TL and a faulty head gasket.
