Coolant Exchange/Flush

Coolant Exchange/Flush
I didn't see anything posted on here about coolant exchanges/flushes.... please help!
I went in to the Honda dealership and they didnt have service info for my car since I'm new to this area. I don't have a lot of service info since I bought my car used. They told me I needed to get a coolant flush since my antifreeze was holdingto -10. I've got 81k on my 03 TL that did have a tranny failure this fall.
Got a second opinion at Sears(I know) and they gave me this. my antifreeze had the recomended 50% mix, but the freezing point was -34, NOT -10. I don't know who to trust. The ph was a 9.0 - pass, but my reserve alkalinity was 3.2 -Fail. Needs to be a 6.6 to pass.
Any recommendations on what to do? On top of this they told me I needed a brake flush, engine coolant, and power steering flush - about $300. If anyone has any insight on this...I would sincerely appreciate any direction. Thanks!

Well if your not afraid to Do It Yourself DIY then i would do it yourself. Coolant flushes and PS flushes arent hard. Brakes are slightly more complicated but not hard.
If your not comfortable doing it yourself and are unsure of the service records then i would brin it in and have done. Buy Honda fluids from either the Honda dealer or Acura dealer and bring them in where ever you go.
