cluster problems

I did open the cluster to clear the gauges and did not remove the needle from the gauge. When i turn the key the gauges are off I know the rpm needle moves when I give gas and I'm sure the mph moves. I just want to know if anyone knows how to get the needles where they are supose to be? Like mph is at 20 when i turn the key.

Dont know how they got off like that without removing them, Were you moving the needles around or pull up on them at all doing what you did? That is the only way they could have changed is if they were pulled up enough. You will have to pull the needles off and calibrate them yourself. With motor running and fully warmed up put the tach needle on so that it is around 750 rpm (idle speed). Use a GPS or phone with GPS to get accurate speed. Go where there is no traffic and where you have room to do it. Drive at a desired speed 30,40,50 doesn't matter set cruise double check with GPS and place needle on on correct speed. Test different mph and verify with GPS.

Oh and be CAREFUL pulling them off and don't push them on too far either as they will hang up

I pulled the tac needles out but used needle nose pliers to hold the gauge needle in cause I seen a video and the guy said if the need comes out you better just buy a new gauge. I made sure to keep the needle in place.

I ended up buying a used cluster on ebay. I got my mph to work but all the other gauges are just done not working right. Im so frustrated but i don't drive my car alot so it really doesn't bother me too much. Idk if i want to change the new cluster im getting with blue reverse glow gauges. Any tips for doing it without messing up this one?

Check fuses and connections. There has been some other past threads on this if you attempt to "search" a bit !

What doesnt work right with them? Did the center needle come out? Is the needle on to tight?

the lil needle that keeps the tax needle from going that way fell so I just have to put it back in but that's the only movement I get from the rpm gauge when I floor it.
