Fender Bender

Hey all. I'm getting pretty frustrated here with clips/retainers here...

I need the part for these holes.



I bought some clips on clipsandfasteners.com to replace the missing retainers for my 02 TL-S that hold on my front splash shield on BOTH sides of my car. PRODUCT CODE: PAS1976-10

I did research and these SEEMED to be the correct fasteners. I could find no specific part number online.

Maybe i'm getting the terminology wrong. I think it's the splash shield? or is it splash guard? Maybe that's where I messed up...The retainers I bought are WAY bigger than the holes they go into.

I'm a few minutes away from the dealership, but I don't want to get ripped off. Anyone have the part # or a link to where I can find these exact clips I need??? Or at least the correct terminology so I can call the dealer and get the part the hard way?

I went and bought another part. This looks a lot more like the piece that came off my car.

If im looking at the diagram right nothing goes into those 2 holes. I think those are the 2 holes are for when you have the lip kit.

The holes are for the Mud Flaps. They typically use 9 and 12 (to screw the mud flap on) You could probably use them or #14

I think these are the size you need but I'm not positive. You can do a little more research but Amazon has a bag of 40 for $6.99. They are 10 mm and they are made for bumper and fenders. Here is the link

I think the ones I got that were too big are the 10mm ones. So I just got the 8mm ones. They also only have 3 "prongs" instead of the 4 prong ones that I bought by mistake.

I think I should be good...
