Chirping Noise from A/C controls when set between 71-75 degree

2000 model with 79000 miles.

I hear chirping noise from temperature controls when set at AUTO mode.
It happens when set at 71-75 degree.
The problem goes away when set beblow 71 degree or set above 76 degree.
The problem also goes away when A/C is turned off.
It is becoming very annoying. Noise literally sounds like a bird chirping.

Any advise???

are you sure it's not your belt squeaking? or is it really the controls?

Don't know if you're still looking for an answer on this one or not. I had the same problem on my 2001 CL. The dealer replaced a "noisey internal blower motor" under warranty. For what it's worth...

does it have any thing to do with your fan speed? leave the temp alone and try adjusting your fan speed to see if you can get it to come or gow away. if you can its probably the blower motor
