HELP!!!Dash won't light up unless parking lights are off

Need help soon. driving at night sucks when the only thing that lights up are my indiglo gauges which i had to buy in order to see the gauges when everyrhing messed up after months of frustration. My odometer display, clock light, and a/c lcd are illuminating but when i turn the headlights or parking lights on, they turn off. It seems like the power to the interior lights are reverse or something. when they are supposed to come when you turn your parking or headlights on, they all turn off, and when i switch my driving lights off, they turn on.

any advice or info would be appreciated.

Not sure how it works in the TL, but it may be in the stalk (the part where you turn the Headlights on) Or there may be a relay out somewhere. You may want to call the dealer and ask them if they have any idea what would be causing that. They may have seen it before and could tell you whats wrong

that happened to me in my last car... my dad didn't remember what the mechanic told him it was... but I burned something... and it cost me 70 buck to replace... it was really weird...

There is a fuse in the engine compartment, passenger side, against the firewall, called small lights or something like that. Check that fuse, I bet that is your problem.

i checked all possible fuses and they are still good. I checked the small light , radio/accessories/and instrument light. still no solution.

its not fuse related, its probably either a relay or something in the stalk of the headlight switch.
