CEL is on...

Got an alignment done this am... As I was driving the car up the ramps, my right muffler (passenger side) got unhooked from the hanger. Since my car is low and they needed wooded planks to get it on the ramps, my muffler must have got stuck some how lol. Well the muffler is back on but now the CEL is on. I'm sure it's a sensor, what I want to know is, do you think I disconnected a sensor or damaged it. How can I tell?

first thing i would check is the 02 sensor. That is the only sensor (s) on the exhaust system. Maybe it got pulled when the exhaust fell?

Thanks will do.. Is this something that would be literally hanging, I just want to know what to look for. And is this something if not damaged, can just be plugged right back in?

^yup. Also, if its pulled hard enough, it may have not been disconnected at the plug, but the wires may have been pull from the sensor on the inside. I did this when installing a headers on my 03 Accord, the o2 sensor wire wasnt long enough so I tugged and pulled till it reached. Guess what happened next...... thats right CEL.

I can make that wire long enough!!!

do a visual for the wire connected, or sensor bent and hanging,,wires torn loose etc

low cars should look for shops with the alignment rack sunken into the floor a foot
You drive straight on - no angle- no dangle

Yeah I know. There's a reputable place here that has one but I called to make an appt. and they immediatley said "you need a camber kit"... Which kinda turned me off. I just wanted the toe adjusted. I respect their expertise but I didn't want to shell out additional funds I couldn't afford. The place I went needed planks but did what I asked which is all I needed done. Its driving good now.

its normal in the biz when you hear `lowered car`-
you need camber kits!
they want to get the specs perfect- and make a huge profit on a small parts swap

tell the technician- set the toe and let it go,,,
my 01 drives fine with neg 1.4 camber

dont trust phone people--they are sales of repairs
probably a big `commission based push` on camber kits this month too!!

Ok, this is something I dont want to pay to get done.. I jacked up the car and indeed the wires are disconnected from the sensor. They are not torn apart just hanging. I feel like I can do this myself. I just dont know what wires go where... Theres a total of 3 wires not including what I assume is the ground. The wires hanging are white, green and black. Does anyone know which wire goes into which terminal.
lol, dont mind my paint skills or lack thereof but this is what I see from the bottom the car. And where would I ground the wire too. tyy
