Car Makes Clicking Noise At Low Revs ONLY

I just bought my 03' TL and for some reason it makes a clicking noise only at low revs. At idle I don't hear anything. Only when I slowly accelerate I hear the clicking noise. It sounds like it is coming from the right side at the front of the car. It only makes this clicking noise at about 0.75-1.5 rpms. After that, it just disappears. Also, if I just step on it a little harder so I jump straight to 2 rpm, I don't hear it. But I was stuck in traffic today so going and stopping at low speeds I heard it a lot. I'm not sure if it makes it on other gears since once it shifts, it automatically goes above 1.5 rpms so I can't see. But, when I leave the car in Park or Neutral and i rev it a little I hear it and it stops at about 2 rpms. Anyone else have this problem? THANKS.

P.S. I never heard how an Acura TL engine should sound like but when I open the hood, it makes like a clicking noise. Not a engine knocking but like the belt is moving really loudly. Like a "TAH TAH TAH TAH TAH" My friend said thats how it is suppose to sound like but this is my first Acura so I don't know. Just wanted to hear from you guys.

sounds like you have valve ticking issues. you can get the valves adjusted but ive heard that is just comes back after a short time. i used an oil additive from pep boys for valve tick and i was surprised that it actually worked for about 3 weeks.

Could be the valves OR the tensioner for the belt.

Or the EVAP purge solenoid. Hard to pinpoint the sound of that sometimes. The tensioner pulley shouldn't jump up-and-down during operation, so if it is...time to replace.

i have this same issue .. too lazy to get it fixed .. 105k is coming up so i'm thinking of having this done as well ..

my buddy adjusted his valves on his 98 v6 accord (similar engine like ours j30a1) and it came back months later. any idea why this is ? it's quite annoying

I used to have the clicking sound @ about 1k-1500rpms. Cost less than $100 to fix. Problem was serpentine belt tensioner so im going to put my money on this one thats making the clicking noise. It was fixed @ about 165k miles or so

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to go to the shop on Monday to get it checked out. I'll ask them to check the serpentine belt tensioner.

It was my belt tensioner. It fixed the clicking sound and my A/C squealing noise. It cost me $150. Good price?
